The tale of a ship

H.M.S Danae was a Dauntless Class Light Cruiser . It was originally launched in January 1918 and scrapped in 1948. It saw action on D-Day in 1944.

It appears that H.M.S. Danae was withdrawn from active service for a short period of time. It was probably re-introduced back in to active service with the outbreak of hostilities in 1939 as we know it saw action in June 1944 with the invasion of Europe.
