Print Types of the ½d stamps of Great Britain
Three print types are distinguished for the ½d stamps of Great Britain
Type I - Sheet printing
Type II - Booklet stamps with inverted watermarks
Type III - Booklet stamps with normal watermarks
Each of these Types is different. They are described below
Type I

The 'FPE' of 'Halfpenny' is solid shading
|
Type II

The 'FPE' of 'Halfpenny' has solid shading on the top with a lighter shade in the lower half of the letters. Watermark is inverted.

Type III
|
|
Same presentation as Type II for 'FPE' but
a) Watermark upright
b) Lower frame lines thinner than Type II
