The 6c and 9c Ceylon Booklets
Two sets of booklets were printed at the Ceylon Government Press in Colombo using a letterpress process for the covers. Apparently the stamps were separated from the sheets into panes of 5 stamps by hand.

|
The 6c booklet has a blue/black cover. It contains 5 panes of 6x6c stamps each. Note the number in the bottom left hand corner. It is assumed that J.N. stands for "Job Number." i.e. J.N. 57226. The 2,000 indicates the number of booklets printed and 11/35 equates with November 1935 (Assumed to be the month the booklets were printed)

The 9c booklet has a green/black cover which is stapled (as is the 6c booklet). It contains 5 panes of 6x9c stamps each. The back cover contains the words "Printed at the Ceylon Government Press, Colombo." Both booklets have fold over covers with blank waxed paper interleaves and a front printed interleaf. This latter interleaf has wireless broadcasting information on one side and postage rates on the reverse.

The initial description of the Ceylon booklets was undertaken by Work. Muraleetharan has added to this work by identifying the Job Numbers and months the booklets were printed.
