The 1935 Silver Jubilee stamps from Great Britain were issued on May 7th, 1935. This
section of the web sites provides interesting information and scans on the production
history and stamps issued.
Three sections are being developed (Note that this section is a work in progress - I will
indicate below what is available for viewing).
History of the 1935 Great Britain Silver Jubilee Stamps
Background information on the correspondence and process followed in the choosing of the design, description and printing of the stamps. Examples of the various essays, colour trials, etc are shown. Information on numbers of stamps produced and the various control numbers is also provided.

Considered one of the great philatelic errors of the 20th century this section deals with the history of the issue of this stamp. It looks at the supporting data to decide whether this was a proof stamp issued in error, or really an error in production colour. An in-depth review of the three sheets known to have been sold is undertaken, including the 40 plus Prussian Blue stamps believed to have been postally used.

Varieties of the 1935 Great Britain Silver Jubilee Issues (not currently available)
As with many of the other Silver Jubilee stamps issued, a number of varieties have been identified and described. A review and description of these is undertaken together with pictures where possible.
