The "extra-flagstaff" variety has also been described on the Lundy issue. They differ from the normal Bradbury variety which is constant in position in all four values (Row 9, Column 1). The ½p and 2p stamps have the extraflagstaff appearing in column 2 whilst the 1p and 9p varieties appear in the SW corner stamp. All varieties occur in the lowest row.

A special GPO Lundy island Silver Jubilee cancellation, dated 7 May 1935, ties this Lundy island alternative cover (from the G. King collection). The cover has been addressed to Mr. Alfred Garnett, a well-known character, from the TV series "Till death do us part" by Johnny Speight (The American spin off of this program was "All in the Family"). Very few covers have been produced and all covers and stamps are hand made.
