The United Fruit Company was founded in 1899. It acquired the remaining stock of Elders and Fyffes in 1910 to expand its operation into Jamaica. Today it is one of the largest banana companies in the world.
One other die is known on Jamaican Silver Jubilee stamps. The company using the Diamond shaped die is unknown.
