World War II German Propaganda stamps
In 1944, Jewish concentration camp inmates at Sachsenhausen, under the direction of the Nazi propaganda machine, produced a series of stamps with the aim of discrediting the Allies in neutral countries.
The operation was code-named 'Enterprise Wasserwelle' after the wavy line watermark on the stamp. The paper was of rather poor quality, thick grey, and line perforated 11½.
