To date six vignette plates (2A paired with 2B; 4 paired with 4/ and two plates labeled as (2A) paired with plate (2B)) used in the printing process have been identified. Plates (2A) and (2B) have the listing of their vignette plate numbers situated further below the stamps compared to the other two pairings.  They appear as 2A and 2B. Plate numbers 1 and 1A (1A only found on Fiji stamps) are frame plates. De La Rue was the
only one of the three printing companies to actually print a plate number on the sheet. The varieties are listed according to plate, row and column number. These are  available for viewing and listed in blue on the following page and are found on the various pages. To view or print out the complete list, including numbers printed and dates issued, see the acrobat reader section below the pictures.

De la Rue Frame Plate numbers appear under stamp 10/2 while Vignette Plate numbers appear under stamp 10/5. The above example indicates that this sheet was printed with frame plate 1 and vignette plate number 2A.

Frame Plate number 1A is only found on the Fiji stamps.

Vignette plate 4/ has a 6 mm vertical marker line above and below the last stamp (column 6) in rows 1 and 10 respectively, usually in line with the left border of the Order of the Garter. The marker line distinguishes this plate from vignette plate 4.

Sheet numbers are placed above stamp  row 1, column 6
